By integrating with Mercoa's APIs we were able to automatically process bills emailed to the forwarding address or accept invoices as an upload into the interface. Using Mercoa's APIs the fields from the invoices were extracted and displayed in the web app for review by the user on the finance team.
We integrated with Mercoa's approval workflow engine which intelligently routed the invoice to the next step in the process. For cases where the invoice wouldn't be automatically approved, we implemented a system for the user to make comments.
We implemented the web interfaces to add and manage vendors and the associated contacts to ensure there's a clear audit logic of the parties involved in bill payment transactions.
