Our designers redesigned the entire workflow of the app, to drastically improve the experience for a golfer. The end-to-end flow was simplified, pushing all the complexity to the backend APIs that accurately calculated scores and winning.
Nimi's design team also revamped the Daily Dogfights website and migrated it to Webflow so that the founders could continue to update the site as the app evolved.
The initial version of the app supported four different games to be played (Wolf, Nassau, Round Robin & Skins). The Nimi team pieces together information from iGolf and GHIN APIs to present valuable information about the golf course, handicaps, their location on the course and how they're performing in real-time at the click of a button.
The Nimi team redesigned the scorecard experience such that the golfers can ditch the paper scorecard and be more present on the course case, enjoying the game with their friends and have the trust that he app calculated scores correctly.
We integrated popular payment peer-to-peer platforms such as Cash App, Venmo, PayPal and Apple Pay so that golfers can settle payments at the end of games. We wrapped the payment and payout functionality within the game experience so that any time the golfers know what they won, what they owe, across all the games they've played.
